CORKS DONATED TO AGIR CANCER GIRONDE

On 25 October, the C.D.V., which organises the Challenge International du Vin, had the great pleasure of handing over its annual cork collection to the Agir Cancer Gironde association, which works for cancer research.

On the premises of the competition’s head office in Bourg-sur-Gironde (Southwest France), 630 kg of corks (i.e. approximately 126,000 units) were handed over to a delegation from Agir Cancer Gironde. This association collects natural and synthetic corks from private individuals and all key players in the wine industry. After sorting, the corks are sent to recycling facilities. All funds raised are donated annually to the Bergonié Institute for cancer research. In January 2020, Agir Cancer Gironde was able to donate €20,000. We would like to congratulate them for their commitment!

Cork collection points are located throughout the Gironde department. Find them here: Collection points Agir Cancer Gironde

You can drop off your corks at the C.D.V. Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or in the letterbox provided at the entrance to their offices (Avenue Léo Lagrange 33710 Bourg sur Gironde).
